This sales position will be responsible for annual sales and call objectives for and Provides customers with the highest level of service and follow-up throughout the sales process. Ideal candidates would reside in Suffolk County and will be in office.

Position Profile

This position is primarily responsible for inside sales of pharmaceutical products to Pharmacy owners and operators from a specified formulary of products and contributing to the overall customer satisfaction of member pharmacies. Drives market share for generic products through strong customer account management and identifies growth opportunities to provide value and increase account retention. Achieves monthly key performance indicators, which includes but is not limited to call volume, order volume, revenue, gross profit, metric unit growth and new business development.

Assigned Tasks Include:

  • Maintain current, detailed and accurate data in our Salesforce.com CRM, providing an accurate sales forecast in real-time.
  • Provide customers with the highest level of service and follow-up throughout the sales process. Ensures on-going attention to enhancing strong relationships with key customers to build/maintain the credibility required to retain business long term.
  • Collaboration with other departments and coordination with staff in operations, inventory, Account management and Field Sales.
  • Provides problems solving and troubleshooting expertise to customers in servicing existing accounts. Provide member pharmacies with performance metrics.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/drug terminology.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with both customers and other partner’s associates.
    • Collaboration with other departments and coordination with staff in operations, inventory, Account management and Field Sales.
    • Good analytical skills sufficient to analyze data and to identify and resolve customer problems.
    • Good mathematical skills.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Excellent computer skills to proficiently use a windows-based system and to accurately input data and run reports.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Member advocacy focus.
    • Must work in AlliantRx Offices.
    • Must have own Transportation.
    • Requires dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and sales experience in selling services within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Sales experience in selling services within pharmaceutical industry.

  • General Office Equipment.
  • Must have Automobile.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
  • May Require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
  • Must be able to travel daily and anticipate some overnight travel.
  • Requires business attire.
